Just wanted to note that I do have quite a few stamp related projects to also share. I’m working on it. I took photos a few days ago but none of them came out quite right. Well, I had intended to post this one sooner but it appears that I ended up sick as a dog like the rest of my family. Amazing how I felt fine one moment and then deathly ill the next. It lasted a full 24 hours and I was really ready to just give up, LOL. I would not wish this stomache bug on anyone… it was horrible!

Onto better things though… here is the layout I did for the Faith Sisters Peace challenge (it was also my entry for being on the creative challenge team).

When I think about peace… what comes to my mind? The lack of it, that’s what. As one that has
struggled for years with depression and anxiety, peace is not something I would often feel. Over
the course of my life, I have had many panic stricken moments… moments that leave me breathless and shaken with undeniable fear. Most of those times the source of my fear was my own mentality, something I had conjured up, not of something actually happening. I would then cry out to God for help, uncertain of why I was feeling this way. I could not understand the purpose of my anxiety or why God had not cured me of it. Yet He has never let me down; He has never failed me. When fear would come and I’d call out to God, a sense of peace would wash over me. I knew God was with me. I knew He would not leave me. Eventually the physical aspects of anxiety would lessen and I’d be relaxed once again.

As I have grown closer to my Abba, I have learned that inner peace is attainable only through the Creator of Peace. He grants it to those of us who call on Him, who love Him, and who desire to be more like Him. As the Creator of Peace it would make sense that being made in His image we would crave His True Peace. He is my Jehovah-Jireh; my Provider, my Constant Hope. As I walk hand in hand with my Saviour, He continues to fill my soul with a peace that no one can take away from me.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ~Numbers 6:24-26

Wow… I am so stinkin’ excited, Ladies! I just wanted to take a moment to share that I have been chosen to be on the Faith Sisters Creative Challenge Team. If you have never visited Faith Sisters, you HAVE to check it out. It is for scrappers, stampers, digital and paper. Our desire is to share the love of Christ in our crafting !

I am loving the new stuff from the upcoming catty. This paper (Bella Rose DSP) is gorgeous! AND I really like the new stamp set Dreams Du Jour. I did not think I’d like the new papers for the In Colors but now I am seeing that I really really LOVE them!

Well, I am not sure if I had intentionally meant to or not, but I ended up taking a month off of blogging… everywhere. I’m back. I have stuff to post and updates, etc coming soon !

I finally took some time to make some stuff using the new Fresh Cuts stamp set and note cards. I really like how quick they are to put together. Let me know what you think.

This first card has no stamping. I used some paper from an older Stampin Up kit (before I joined and I don’t know the name right off). I also used rub ons from SU.

My second card … stamped in Rose Red and the saying in Pumpkin Pie. Used Wild Wasabi for the background of the flower. Then used the felt flower fusions from SU along with a pewter brad.

Third card … stamped in Wild Wasabi. Used Pumpkin Pie for the background of the flower. Then used the felt flower fusions from SU along with a pewter brad. Added the scalloped border using Fiskar scissors.

Finally the fourth card … stamped in Old Olive. Used Rose Red for the background of the flower. Then used the same felt flower fusions from SU along with a pewter brad. Added the scalloped border using Fiskar scissors.

As a side note … I had thought the Flower Fusions were Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, and Wild Wasabi… when in reality I think it is Old Olive. Ooops… my bad. Guess that is what happens when I’m still getting accustomed to new colors and new names. I’ll get there, I promise!

I am only wanting to sell this as a set. I checked each of them out and they all work quite well. Full of life. I have kept them stored horizontally and both sides work very well. The older style markers were bought one month before the newer style came out and they are very juicy to color in with.
